Privacy notice

This page covers vibiam.com, the marketing site. The Vibiam app is not released yet and has its own notice when it is. The only thing this site collects is a waitlist signup, and everything below describes that.
Who is responsible
Engine Seven LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company trading as Vibiam, is the data controller. Reach us at support@vibiam.com — that address is read by a person, not a ticketing queue.
What we store
When you submit the waitlist form we store one record containing:
- Your email address, lowercased. It is the only thing the form asks for.
- The time you signed up. It is also your place in the queue — invites go out in signup order.
- Where you came from — a short label such as
pinordirect, taken from the?s=parameter on the link you followed. It tells us which channel worked. It is not a profile and it does not identify you.
Separately, your IP address is used to rate-limit the form and the usage counters below so neither can be abused. It is held in short-lived counters that expire within minutes and is never stored alongside your signup.
Vercel Web Analytics counts page views, so we can see which pages people read and where they arrived from. It is cookieless: nothing is written to your device, no identifier follows you between visits, and no profile is built.
We also keep our own count of how the page is used: how many visitors play the demo scene, reach thirty seconds of it, finish it, and scroll to the signup form. These are plain totals per day and per channel — a number goes up by one. No identifier, no session, nothing on your device, and nothing that links a count to you or to a signup.
Google Analytics counts page views as well, configured so that it is denied any storage on your device. In that mode Google states its tag “will not read or write first-party analytics cookies”. What reaches Google is an anonymous ping: the page address, your browser and screen size, and your IP address, which Analytics does not store. Advertising features and ad personalization are switched off, so it cannot be used to follow you anywhere else.
Beyond those counts there are no advertising pixels. Nothing on this site writes a cookie, or any other identifier, to your device — which is why you are shown no consent banner. There is nothing stored on your device to consent to.
Why we store it
To send you one email when your invite is ready, and to know which channels brought people in. Nothing else. Your address is not sold, rented or shared for marketing.
Our legal basis under the UK and EU GDPR is your consent, given when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time — see below — and doing so does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it. Rate limiting rests on our legitimate interest in keeping a public form usable.
Who else handles it
We use three providers, each acting on our instructions:
- Vercel — hosts the site and serves the form.
- Upstash — the database the signup is stored in.
- Resend — sends the confirmation email.
These providers operate in the United States, so your data is transferred there. The transfer relies on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses in each provider’s terms.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to delete it, or until twenty-four months after the launch email, if you never replied and never took up the invite — whichever comes first. If the product is canceled, the list is deleted rather than kept.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@vibiam.com from the address you signed up with and we will action it within thirty days. Deletion is total: the record is removed, not flagged.
Every email we send carries an unsubscribe path, and replying “remove me” works just as well.
If you are in the UK or the EU and think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your national data protection authority. We would rather you told us first.
Changes
If this notice changes in a way that affects what we do with your address, we will update the date at the top and email you before the change takes effect.
